Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) is an American actor. She is known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett originates originally from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother of Bassett had divorced from her father when she was around five. She and her younger sister then moved to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after seeing the play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. The couple got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
